In 1962, with the Indian parent business restructuring, Rajab Ali officially launched R. Hassan Ali Traders in Karachi. By the mid‑1980s, the business ventured into manufacturing under the brand Multitex Fabrics, using 50 power-looms. In 1992, M. J. Textiles was formally incorporated to scale operations into a full in-house manufacturing company.

Following the Partition in 1947, Hassan Ali’s son Rajab Ali and Ismailjee’s son Ali Bhai migrated to Karachi in 1949 and started a wholesale fabric business on M. A. Jinnah Road. What began as a shop trading imported fabrics soon adapted to government policy changes—shifting to local sourcing when imports were banned in the early 1960s.

We exist not just to weave fabrics, but to carry forward a legacy born in 1890, blending centuries-old craftsmanship with modern innovation. With over 700 looms and a spectrum of yarns and weaves—from classic cotton to silk and fancy blends—we aim to enrich the lives of our clients through ethical sourcing, meticulous quality, and a relentless drive to evolve.
